Therapeutic Art to help your mental health
Therepeutic Art is a powerful tool that has been shown to improve mental health outcomes for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health issues. By engaging in the creative process, individuals can express their emotions and feelings, explore their thoughts and experiences, and gain insights and perspectives that may not have been possible through traditional talk therapy alone. There are huge benefits for those who participate in the therapeutic arts. Our sessions help attendees to connect more fully with their unconscious self, through bringing hidden thoughts and feelings to the surface. While the process itself is cathartic bringing psychological relief to those who take part by releasing creative energy, it is far from the only benefit.
With the help of a positive therapeutic relationship, an attendee can begin to explore and express thoughts and feelings that they are unable to put into words using metaphors or symbols. As a result, they can then begin to develop technical skills in order to create coping mechanisms that can help them change previous responses to situations and enhance their well-being.
